Desember 2011 Windy Boats appoints new distributor for China and Hong Kong
Scandinavian boat builder Windy Boats AS has announced the
appointment of Up Marine Ltd as its exclusive distributor in Greater China.
With offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, Up Marine is headed
by Anthony Cheung, whose sales team has imported over 100 yachts
to the region in recent years.
Windy and Up Marine believe that Windy's larger models, including
the stunning Windy Dubois SR 52 super-tender, will be of particular
interest to Chinese customers looking to combine exceptional
performance with unprecedented style, speed and comfort. Given
mainland China's vast lakes and inland waters, they are also confident
that the new 26 Kharma sports cruiser, 31 Zonda fast weekender and
upcoming 39 Zonda, designed in partnership with Dubois, will also
be popular choices.
"It's exciting to bring in the Windy brand as it has always been of top quality and design" commented Mr Cheung. "We believe our understanding of local markets will help Windy become successfully established in Hong Kong and China. Windy CEO, Knut Heiberg-Andersen added: "We are looking forward to working with Anthony Cheung and his team to raise Windy's profile in these increasingly important markets. With Up Marine's long experience and extensive business networks in the region, there are promising prospects ahead." Up Marine will be promoting its new Windy partnership at the upcoming Shanghai Boat Show in April 2012.
